For a quintessentially Italian brand, Fendi’s Autumn/Winter 18 show in Milan was remarkably British. Prince of Wales and Herringbone wools paired off with leather, cashmere and mink that looked fresh out of Harrods.
The show took place in a makeshift airport terminal, with a graphic design collaboration with Scottish artist @hey_reilly. The comfortable, warm aesthetic looked perfect for the luxury traveller – and the ‘Fendi-fied’ luggage and accessories were right on point.
Logo patterning was reintroduced by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the recognisable double F alongside deconstructed stripes in different textures on reversible outerwear. Form and function – it could hardly be a more appropriate theme for the double F house.
